| SAM IMS-200 |
| The SAM IMS-200 Chemical Hazards Monitor is a high-performance analyzer that is based on IMS technology. It was developed specifically for continuous chemical hazards monitoring and is used where toxic or carcinogenic substances may be present in plant air or in the workplace. Standard features include a membrane sample inlet. Optionally the unit can also be equipped with a multi-capillary column to remove interfering components. The SAM IMS-200 reliably detects hazardous substance exposure levels from the ppm down to the ppb range and, based on its analysis cycle time of only a few seconds, offers virtually continuous monitoring of production areas. It not only provides the reliability you need, it can also help you to continuously improve your production processes.

| Applications |
| General |
| Not limited to specific substance classes or functionalities, the SAM IMS-200 can quantitatively analyze most organic substances that are found in plant air. |
| Benzene |
| This substance is formed in the manufacture of coke and in reforming and cracking processes in oil refineries. In the industrial chemicals industry, benzene is an important starting substance for numerous aromatic intermediates and cycloaliphatic compounds. The SAM IMS-200 can reliably detect this carcinogenic substance at levels as low as 1 ppb (standard: 1 ppm). The low detection limit permits an early response before any serious threat to human health. |
